1. INTRODUCTION & DEFINITIONS
1.1 About Us
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of fashion styling and personal shopping services ("Services") provided by SYLVEST STYLE LTD ("we," "us," "our," or "the Stylist"), a limited company registered in England and Wales.
1.2 Acceptance of Terms
By booking a consultation, purchasing a service package, or engaging with us in any capacity, you ("you," "the Client,") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our services. These terms apply to all bookings made through our website, email, phone, or in person.
1.3 Definitions
"Service" means any styling consultation, personal shopping, wardrobe consultation, or fashion guidance provided by the Stylist.
"Agreement" refers to the contract formed between you and us upon booking and payment for a Service.
"Booking" means your confirmed appointment for a Service.
"Fee" refers to the price charged for the Service, as quoted on our website or agreed upon in writing.
2. SERVICES DESCRIBED
2.1 Service Overview
We provide a range of fashion styling services, including but not limited to:Personal style consultations
Virtual wardrobe consultations
Wardrobe editing and organisation
Personal shopping guidance and accompaniment
Event and occasion styling
Professional image development
Seasonal wardrobe planning
Details of each service, including duration and deliverables, are available on our website or upon request.
2.2 Services Provided
Our services provide expert guidance, recommendations, and styling advice. However, the final purchasing decisions, outfit selections, and wardrobe changes remain entirely your choice. We do not guarantee specific outcomes, purchases, or transformations, as results depend on your individual circumstances, follow-through, and investment choices.2.3 Scope of Services
The scope of each service is defined at the time of booking and confirmed in your booking confirmation email. If you want to change the scope of services, this must be written in writing before the service is provided.2.4 What Is Not Included
Unless expressly stated in your service package, the following are NOT included:Clothing purchases (you pay for items directly with retailers)
Alterations or tailoring services (we provide guidance and referrals only)
Dry cleaning or garment care services
Hair, makeup, or grooming services (we provide recommendations only)
Personal training or lifestyle coaching beyond styling guidance
Ongoing wardrobe management beyond the agreed service package
3. BOOKING & APPOINTMENT TERMS
3.1 How to Book
Services are booked through:

All bookings require completion of a booking form and confirmation of payment details.
3.2 Booking Confirmation
Once you complete a booking, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours containing:
Service details and duration
Date and time of appointment
Location (in-person, virtual platform, or other)
Fee and payment information
Cancellation and rescheduling policy
Any pre-appointment requirements (e.g., photos, questionnaires)
This confirmation constitutes your booking contract with us.
3.3 Pre-Appointment Preparation
Depending on your service, you may be asked to:
Complete a style questionnaire.
Provide photos of your current wardrobe.
Prepare your closet for assessment.
Provide information about your lifestyle and goals.
Join a virtual meeting platform and test your connection.
It is your responsibility to complete these requirements on time. Failure to do so may affect the quality of the service or require rescheduling.
3.4 Confirmation of Attendance
We would recommend that you confirm your appointment 48 hours in advance. We may contact you to confirm; please respond promptly to ensure your slot is held.
4. PAYMENT TERMS
4.1 Pricing
Prices for our services are listed on our website or quoted in writing. Prices are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.
4.2 Payment Methods
We accept payment via:
Debit/credit card (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
Bank transfer
PayPal
Other methods as specified at booking
4.3 Payment Due
For single consultations: Full payment due at booking confirmation
For multi-session packages: Deposit of 25% due at booking, balance due 14 days before first appointment
For memberships: Payment due on enrolment and on the anniversary date annually (or monthly if on a monthly plan)
Non-receipt of payment will result in cancellation of your booking.
4.4 Late Payment
If payment is not received by the due date:
We reserve the right to cancel your booking
Late payment fees of £50 or 5% per week may be charged
We may pursue the outstanding amount through legal means
This does not affect your cancellation rights
4.5 Invoices
Invoices will be provided via email upon payment or upon request. Invoices must be retained for your records. We can provide copies if requested.
4.6 Currency & Exchange Rates
All pricing is in GBP. If you pay from outside the UK, any currency conversion fees are your responsibility.
5. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY
5.1 Cancellation by You (Client)
Notice Given Fee Outcome 14+ days prior -Full refund minus £25 administration fee. 7-14 days prior- 50% refund of service fee. 48-7 days before 25% refund of service fee. Less than 48 hours- No refund; full fee charged. No show (without notice) Full fee charged; no refund. This is applied on a case-by-case basis.
5.2 Rescheduling by You
Rescheduling requests must be made at least 14 days in advance where applicable.
Up to 2 reschedules are permitted per booking at no additional cost
Reschedules beyond 2 must be treated as new bookings (and are subject to current pricing)
Rescheduling to more than 60 days from original date will be treated as cancellation
5.3 Cancellation by Us (Stylist)
We reserve the right to cancel any booking with 14 days' notice in the following circumstances:
Illness or emergency
Unexpected personal circumstances
Circumstances beyond our control
In this case, you will receive:
Full refund of fees paid, or
Offer to reschedule at your convenience at no charge
5.4 Cancellation Outside Notice Period
In exceptional circumstances (e.g., illness, emergency), cancellations with less notice may be discussed. Contact us immediately to discuss.
5.5 Deposit Non-Refundable in Certain Cases
Deposits are non-refundable if:
You fail to attend without reasonable notice (no-show)
You cancel within 48 hours of appointment
You reschedule beyond 60 days from original date
6. REFUNDS & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION
6.1 Refund Requests
Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 30 days of your appointment. Requests submitted after 30 days will not be considered; this is treated on a case by case basis.
6.2 Grounds for Refund
We will consider refunds in the following circumstances:
Service not provided as described
Stylist unable to attend due to circumstances beyond your control
You cancel within the notice periods specified in Section 5
We will NOT provide refunds for:
Change of mind (unless cancellation policy allows)
Client dissatisfaction with styling recommendations (subjective satisfaction is not grounds for refund—though feedback is welcomed)
Client fails to follow through on recommendations
Client is unhappy with personal fashion choices
6.3 Refund Process
Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days
Refunds will be returned to the original payment method
Refunds cannot be requested in a different form (e.g., store credit instead of cash)
6.4 Complaint Resolution
If you are unhappy with the service, please contact us within 7 days of your appointment with details. We will:
Acknowledge your complaint within 48 business hours
Investigate the issue within 7 business days
Respond with a resolution (refund, replacement service, or explanation) within 14 days
If you remain dissatisfied after this process, you have the right to contact Trading Standards or seek alternative dispute resolution.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & CONTENT
7.1 Ownership of Materials
All materials created by us during the service (including styling guides, shopping lists, mood boards, colour palettes, recommendations, and digital lookbooks) are created for your personal use only. You may not:
Reproduce, distribute, or publish these materials without permission.
Share them commercially or with third parties.
Use them for any purpose other than your own personal wardrobe decisions.
7.2 Permission to Use Your Images
We may photograph your before/after transformations or styling sessions for portfolio purposes.
Your images will NOT be used publicly without your explicit written permission.
You retain ownership of your own images.
If you grant permission, you may withdraw it at any time in writing.
7.3 Client Testimonials/Reviews
With your permission, we may feature your testimonial on our website or marketing materials.
Permission must be granted separately in writing.
You may withdraw permission at any time.
7.4 Your Existing Content
By providing us with images, information, or other content (e.g., photos of your wardrobe), you confirm:
You own or have rights to this content.
You grant us permission to use it for the purpose of providing the service.
You understand it will be stored securely and used only for styling purposes.
8. CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY
8.1 Stylist Confidentiality
We treat all client information as confidential and will not disclose:
Your personal details
Your preferences, concerns, or fashion choices.
Photos of you or your belongings.
Information about your body, health, or personal circumstances.
Your shopping or styling choices.
We may only share information when required by law or with your explicit consent.
8.2 Your Confidentiality
You agree to respect the confidentiality of the stylist. Do not share our styling strategies, recommendations, or business practices as your own or publicly attribute them to yourself.

9. LIABILITY & LIMITATION
9.1 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we limit our liability to you for any loss, damage, or claim arising from:
Use of our services
Reliance on our recommendations or styling advice
Any products purchased by you (we do not sell products or guarantee seller performance)
Third-party services (alterations, dry cleaning, shopping venues)
Events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control
9.2 What We're Not Responsible For
We are NOT responsible for:
The quality or fit of clothing you purchase (retailers are responsible)
Your satisfaction with your personal fashion choices
Outcomes or transformations (results depend on your circumstances and follow-through)
Loss or damage to your belongings during in-home consultations (use our Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance applies, see Section 10)
Loss of earnings, data, or profits arising from use of our services
Indirect or consequential losses
9.3 Our Liability
Our maximum liability to you for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fee paid for that specific service. We cannot be liable for amounts greater than this.
9.4 What We ARE Responsible For
We remain responsible for:
Professional negligence (serious failure to provide styling expertise)
Breach of confidentiality
Damage to your property through our negligence during in-home consultations
Failure to provide the agreed service
10. INSURANCE & PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY
10.1 Professional Insurance
We hold the following insurance:

Public Liability Insurance
Insurance details are available upon request.
10.2 Claims
In the event of a claim arising from our services, please contact us in writing immediately. We will work with our insurance provider to resolve the matter.
11. CONDUCT & ACCEPTABLE USE
11.1 Client Conduct
You agree to:
Treat the stylist with respect and professionalism
Provide accurate information during consultations
Notify us of any changes to your contact details or circumstances
Arrive on time for appointments
Follow pre-appointment instructions (e.g., completing questionnaires, preparing your space)
11.2 Unacceptable Behavior
We reserve the right to terminate services or cancel future bookings if you:
Are abusive, rude, or disrespectful to the stylist
Provide false information that affects the service
Violate our confidentiality terms
Attempt to use our materials or recommendations commercially
Engage in any other behaviour we deem inappropriate
In such cases, refunds will not be provided.
11.3 Right to Refuse Service
We retain the right to refuse service to any individual for any reason.
12. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
12.1 Right to Modify
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
12.2 Notification
We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
12.3 Your Rights
If you do not accept modified terms, you may cancel future bookings. Existing bookings will be honored under the terms in effect at the time of booking.
13. FORCE MAJEURE
13.1 Unforeseen Circumstances
We cannot be held liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
Illness or injury
National emergencies or pandemics
Extreme weather
Technical failures (for virtual services)
Government restrictions or lockdowns
In such cases, we will offer:
Full refund of fees paid, or
Rescheduling at our earliest convenience
Credit towards future services
14. VIRTUAL SERVICES & TECHNOLOGY
14.1 Virtual Consultation Requirements
For virtual services, you are responsible for:
Having a suitable internet connection
Having access to the agreed video platform
Choosing a private, quiet location for the consultation
Testing your technology in advance
Ensuring good lighting and camera visibility
14.2 Technical Failures
If technical failure occurs on your end, the appointment will be rescheduled
If technical failure occurs on our end, the appointment will be rescheduled at no charge to you
14.3 Recording
Virtual consultations may NOT be recorded without prior written permission
If you wish to record, you must request permission in advance
Unauthorised recording is a breach of these terms and confidentiality
15. ACCESSIBILITY & SUPPORT NEEDS
15.1 Accessibility Accommodations
If you have accessibility requirements or additional support needs, please notify us at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate requests, though we cannot guarantee all accommodations are possible.
15.2 Communication
If you have specific communication needs (large print, plain language, etc.), please inform us in advance so we can provide materials in suitable formats.
16. DISCLAIMERS
16.1 Professional Advice
We provide professional fashion styling guidance and recommendations. We are NOT:
Medical professionals or body image counselors
Mental health professionals or therapists
Legal advisors regarding fashion industry matters
If you have concerns beyond styling, we recommend consulting appropriate professionals.
16.2 Personal Circumstances
We are not responsible for identifying or addressing underlying personal, health, or psychological issues. Our services focus solely on fashion styling and wardrobe guidance.
17. THIRD-PARTY LINKS & SERVICES
17.1 Third-Party Recommendations
We may recommend third-party services (retailers, tailors, dry cleaners, etc.). We are not responsible for:
Quality of their services
Their business practices
Any complaints or disputes with them
Their pricing or policies
17.2 Retail Partners
When we recommend retailers or provide shopping links, we do not guarantee their current availability, pricing, or quality. Purchases are direct between you and the retailer.
18. GENERAL PROVISIONS
18.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Notice, constitute the entire agreement between us regarding your use of our services.
18.2 Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, all other provisions remain in effect.
18.3 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

19. COMPLAINTS & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Contact us in writing within 30 days of the issue
Provide details of your complaint
We will investigate and respond within 14 days
19.2 Escalation
If you remain unsatisfied:
Request escalation to an independent review
We will refer to relevant ombudsman or alternative dispute resolution service
You may also contact Citizens Advice Consumer Service or Trading Standards
19.3 Legal Action
You retain the right to pursue legal action through the small claims court if necessary.
